A new series, Sands of Time, will be introduced on Zee World this November.

Sands of Time tell the story of Jia, a loving wife, caring daughter-in-law and a fun loving aunt loved by the entire family.

She is her father in law’s favourite and the family trust her decisions and relies on her to take care of their needs.

Her husband, a journalist, often receives threats for his work. Jia gets kidnapped and raped. The family decide to keep her kidnapping a secret and carry on with the henna ceremony. Later, a frightened Jia is found and the family are shocked to see her state. She becomes a totally different woman.

How would she handle this issue? Will she be able to pick up the pieces of her life? Will she be accepted back into her family and community as a whole?

The story of Jia centers on the numerous trials and struggles she had to pass through to maintain her dignity and honour after the tragic incident.

Sands of Time starts on DStv and GOtv on Monday, November 7 at 22:00pm CAT replacing Krishi.

Antara is about a special girl with an unbelievable story. She is a 5 year old autistic girl who loses her mother in a car accident.  When she moves to live with her once estranged Father, he is faced with the challenge of bringing up this special child.

This is a heart-warming story of acceptance that highlights the society’s need to be sensitive and understanding to people living with autism.

Breaking Free, a story of a young girl called Sugni’s who attempt to change the age old tradition, which the corrupt society will never let go off. She aspires to become a bride, desires to be a daughter­in­law, she wants to be a 'one man' woman instead of someone who belongs to all the men. In her journey Sugni will not only encounter the evil face of the man who becomes her 'owner' but she will also experience love with young Adityababu who in spite of belonging to a clan showers her with respect and holds her dignity.
